Little Red Hen Park & Garden Is A Dream For Our Future
This two-plus acre park and garden will be filled with learning activities for individuals of all abilities and ages. It will incorporate accessible park activities and education, with hands-on learning gardens. Our dream includes an educational facility, friendly sculptures by local artists and sensory elements for all. LRH employees and volunteers will staff the LRH Park and Garden. Visitors from all over will be welcome to enjoy our beautiful gardens.
Wall of Hope
Our Progress
We now have the "Wall of Hope" installed at the LRH Park & Garden. It is 64 feet long and has 10 years of tiles made by the DD children in our community (464 tiles). It is BEAUTIFUL! Our staff have been involved in every step from framing, building, pouring concrete, tile prep, etc. Needless to say, everyone is excited!
Everyday we have melon, tomatoes, squash, etc. for staff to bring home and eat. Through-out the season we have given tons of starts to the many other gardens of other providers.
Thank you so much for making this happen. We are really looking forward to our Open House when the dinosaur sculpture and the Rainbow Reading Bench are completed this fall.
